Abstract

The study sought: (1) to determine the status of earth and space science education in public secondary schools in Pennsylvania in the school year 1963-64; (2) to show a relation, if any, between the state's earth and space science curriculum promotional program and the appearance of earth-space courses in the public secondary schools of the Commonwealth; (3) to determine school district relation to and appraisal of certain aspects of the state's earth and space science curriculum promotional program; and, (4) to identify the factors or elements influential in affecting school district decisions related to the acceptance or non-acceptance of an earth-space offering.
