Abstract
"This thesis offers a program of six planetarium shows of an interdisciplinary nature, designed for children in
grades four through, eight. While two of the shows have an astronomical orientation, the other four are culturally oriented. The underlying theme of all of the shows is an
acceptance and tolerance of various cultures interpretation of natural phenomena and man's place in the universe.
Each show is accompanied by an activity sheet, suggesting activities which may be carried over into the classroom. The activities are designed to relate the material presented
in the show to other classroom disciplines: creative writing, storytelling, art, etc.
Following the shows and activity books is a ""Teacher's Idea Booklet"" which offers suggestions of general activities that relate astronomy to other elementary school disciplines."
