Abstract
The Telescopes In Education (TIE) program is an education outreach project sponsored by the Mount Wilson Institute and the NASA/ California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Through TIE, students and teachers a.round the world can remotely control research-quality telescopes and charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras from a computer in their classroom. TIE is supported by numerous volunteers, businesses, and other organizations.
