The 1997 SARA Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program
Abstract
During the summer of 1997 the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy operated a Research Experiences for Undergraduates program. Sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation, this program allowed eleven students from ten institutions of higher education to engage in research projects under the tutelage of SARA faculty members. Three additional students, supported by faculty research grants, also participated in the program, making this one of the largest astronomy REV programs in the country.
