During the summer of 1995 the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy operated a Research Experience for Undergraduates program. Sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation, this program allowed seven students from six institutions of higher education to engage in research projects under the tutelage of SARA faculty members.
