Abstract

The results of a state-of-the-art research on theses and dissertations defended in Brazil and related to the teaching of astronomy are presented, with the objective of identifying this production and knowing the main research trends in this field. A total of 13 master's theses and 3 doctoral theses were found, which were studied according to the following aspects: institution, year of defense, school level covered in the study, thematic focus of the study and gender of academic work.
